Machine Operator

SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for setting-up, starting-up, and operating equipment to manufacture products to specified quality parameters. Operating equipment includes: sheeter, wire-cut, topper, guillotine, enrober, cooling tunnel and various conveyors.
Rotating Schedule: 6:00pm – 6:00am
Essential Duties:
- Follows the GMP rules of facility and other policies, procedures and SOPs.
- Has the ability to understand the operation of assigned production equipment.
- Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
- Is able to properly perform adjustments to achieve proper quality specifications.
- Conducts quality checks.
- Is able to perform set-up, start up, and shut down procedures.
- Completes computerized and paper documentation.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Has the ability to communicate with co-workers and management properly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation instructions and procedures.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions and decimals.
Mixer Operator

SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for operating mixer and properly combines ingredients to make a variety of dough in a timely manner by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates.
Rotating Schedule: 6:00pm – 6:00am
Essential Duties:
- Follows the GMP rules of facility and other policies, procedures and SOPs.
- Identifies necessary ingredients and lot numbers.
- Follows mix sheets and completely fill out all the necessary information.
- Ensures there are no foreign materials introduced into the dough.
- Understand and uses equipment properly.
- Makes adjustments of dough to optimize the machine’s ability.
- Cleans mixed and associated utensils to eliminate cross contamination.
- Controls allergens and ensure there is no cross contamination.
- Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with the authority to initiate action.
- Completes computerized and paper documentation.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicates with co-workers and management in an effective manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Inspector

- Visually inspect edges of wipers for seal quality according to product specific work instructions and departmental SOPs.
- Operate bag-sealing equipment. Inspect sealed bags and box product for shipment to internal and/or external customers.

- Follows the GMP rules of facility and all SBC policies and SOPs.
- Ensures all product meets SBC and customer-related food safety and quality standards and notifies supervisor of any concerns.
- Ensures that product that falls on the floor is thrown away immediately.
- Completes any applicable computerized and paper documentation.
- If labels are added to packaging, ensure that all instructions are followed.
- Inspects the quality of the primary and secondary packaging ensuring that all seals are secure, and all packaging is in good condition. If product is re-packaged, follow all food safety standards.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Has the ability to communicate with co-workers and management properly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
