Cake Decorator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and decorate cakes according to customers specifications/requests
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully within a small team: knowing how to work independently while maintaining an overall effort for teamwork for common daily goals/orders
- Decorating regular bakery items according to the traditional standards and designs.
- Having knowledge of different kinds of icing like buttercream, royal icing and fondant
- Create an ever-changing display of the latest cake trends via fake Styrofoam display cakes
- Assists with other store duties as assigned; such as taking inventory of baking items, cleaning and sanitizing all work areas, decorating equipment for daily, weekly, monthly requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proven decorating experience – i.e. portfolios will be requested and reviewed.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous cake decorating experience.
- The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
- Detail oriented, artistic and creative personality.
- Ability to perform the essential job functions listed above.
Teacher Assistant

Duties include:
Provide a variety of support tasks to the teaching environment in the WS/FCS school system as a primary grades assistant, reading assistant and other tasks included.
Qualifications:
A minimum requirement of 48 hours of completed college credit at either a university or Community College level. Please bring a copy of your transcript or diploma upon arrival. An alternative to 48 hours of college credit would be the successful completion of the Work Keys and at least 6 hours of college credit with 3 hours completed in each of the following courses: Math and or Technology and 3 hours completed in English or Writing (no substitutions are accepted) under the Highly Qualified eligibility criteria, as defined within the No Child Left Behind Act. Prefer one to two years’ experience working with children as a volunteer, a parent, or in a childcare environment.
***Several screenings must be completed prior to being selected for interviewing with a principal. Those screenings include verification of education and a background check. If selected, you will not be able to begin working until all documentation is in place including record of current TB test, copies of transcripts and a drug screen.
Temp to hire after 30 working days
Pay Rate: $15.00 hr. + weekly pay
Pay rate can increase depending on years of classroom experience
